No ABS and traction control is still ok for mazda 6i since this car with 4-wheel disc brakes.
You still need to ask the owner with abs or not. For an emergency brakes, without abs is different way to stop the car.

I will concern about side airbags than abs. The only cars in 03 and 04 standard with side airbags were korean cars or luxury cars.

I assume your car had no accidents before since your mechanic told you the car in excellent condidion. If the price you paid is closed to KBB.com trade-in value (between fair and good), you should get it if no side bags ok for you.

the final price was 6000. I plan on purchasing new wheels and finding a way to install an aux input.

Car looks good. That interior looks like it's in great shape. Nice first car.

Forget about the aux input. You will spend nearly as much on that as you will to replace the headunit and the headunit will be nicer. Look into JVC units. Their optical units are a bit crap but otherwise their units are well made and offer great bang for the buck.

Congrate. You get a good price on this baby. If the original tire is 16 inches, it is good enough. It costs much cheaper than my 17 inches.

I like the silver interior color with car stereo design which is better than 06.

Congrats, now you've got something of your own.

I understand you want a new set of wheels, but don't let yourself go too crazy, since you're a young guy...and you'll have more cars later on, when you've really got the money to take care of yourself. Obviously, don't buy junk $80 wheels either. I wonder if you could find a set of the OEM alloys for a decent price on eBay? I think that's a great alternative to crazy stuff like BBS, at least on this car.
