heavy brake dust
Hey All
More questions about my 2007 speed 6. The brake dust on the front rims is WAY heavier than the back. I've put about 4k miles on the car since it was detailed at the dealership. The front rims are filthy, the back are still clean. Is this normal? The dealership told me it is because the car leans forward when you brake, and that makes the front brakes work harder.
Also, when I first get in my car in the morning and drop the e-brake it doesn't always release. Sometimes I can feel the brakes pop loose when I start to drive away. Is it normal for the e-brake to stick till I start to drive away?

A couple of things, then a piece of advice. The fronts are vented outward to reduce fatigue and fade. The front of the car carries the most weight, so naturally, they are going to work harder. The brake pads from the factory aren't the greatest things ever. Basically, all of the consumables on any car come kind of low-grade from the factory. All of these things rolled together amount to the brake dust.
My advice is to go with a ceramic, or otherwise synthetic pad to reduce the amount of dust.
