Question How do I enable alarm armed chirp?

Hi,

I've got a 2005 Mazda 6 Hatchback, which came with a Visteon 41846 Remote VOB, having buttons for LOCK, UNLOCK and a red PANIC button. Everything works fine.

When I arm/disarm the alarm using the VOB, the horn does not chirp. I suspect this feature was turned off by the previous owner. There's no info in the manual. How do I turn it back on? For example, do I push LOCK and UNLOCK for 10 seconds or something?

TIA,
Keven

On my car, also a 2005 5dr, the horn sounds when i hit the lock button twice. Beyond trying that, i don't know what to tell you, as this is really out of my area of expertise.

YA, mine will beep also if you hit the lock button 2X, but no beeps during unlock. My wifes Subaru has a technique for pressing the Lock/Unlock button to toggle the chirp report. I'm sure the Mazda will do it too....just need the program sequence.

Thanks anyhow.
