Default I have a question about my lights

I have an '05 Mazda6 Si 4 cylinder and absolutely love my Maggie (I know it is crazy to name your car but when I have to yell at the car for something stupid then you have a name to scream). I have put almost 40k miles on her since buying her used 2 years ago. I am in the process of putting in HID headlights and have found a company that has the bulbs and ballast for $250 but I need to know if it is possible to be able to keep my low beams on when I turn on my highbeams. Does someone know the two wires that I can reverse in the steering column wire harness that switch the passing light pull to the highbeam push? Thanks!

When it is really dark and nasty out have you ever just held your switch on so that you can seel just a little better? That is all that I am trying to achieve. I don't use my highbeams a lot and with the high intensity lights that I will be putting in I don't imagine that I will use them anymore than I do now but when I do, I want to be like all the other cool cars. You know, BMW, Mercedes... I want to look like an expensive pocket rocket even if I'm just a 4 banger 6 hatchback[sm=happybounce.gif]. With the HID's you will see blue spots, red spots, yellow spots, spots all over the place!! SPOTS, SPOTS, SPOTS

does anyones elses 6 have something on the drivers side headlight that cuts the bulb output short, what i mean is that to me it appears mazda has something infront of the bulb only on the drivers side that makes it so the beam on the drivers side has a shorter output that the passengers side, i was wondering if it was just my car or some kinda saftey issue thing.

The driver side light pattern is different from the passenger side so as not to blind oncoming traffic.
