IPOD or Zune hookup

IPOD or Zune hookup
Hi. I have a 2005 Mazda 6 with the Bose sound system. First off, does anyone have a problem with burned cd's not playing in the Bose cd player? Most of my copied cd's do not play. They skip. It sucks. I was thinking of getting a IPOD or Zune for my car. How can I add the IPOD to the system. I know I could get the FM transmittor deal. But that sacrifices sound quality. Is there any kit made that can allow IPOD intergration with the Bose sound system?

RE: IPOD or Zune hookup
I haven't had any problems playing copied CD's on mine ( I have an '05 with bose and 6-disc in dash). As for the iPod, Mazda makes an adaptor for the CD player (it's listed as being for '06+, but it will work with the '05), however it's made my CD player do some funky things, the dealer is going to be replacing the Cd player some time this week or next, depending on when they get the new one in, I'll post wether or not this fixes the issues I've had with the adaptor.

I got mine from the mazda dealer near my house. I agree whole heartedly about the FM transmitter, they are not much fun. I will say that it's not cheap to get them to install it (if you use the dealer).

If you are talking about this:
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_531IMAZ...nterface&ssi=0
it does not connect to the CD player, it connects to the CD changer port--read you are replacing the CD changer with this, so no more CDs. Also note, does not work with the Bose system.

Check out www.mp3yourcar.com
In the first step choose "Factory"
they seem to got it covered!
u will have to give up our Satellite radio as it uses that port but if you dont use it, who cares? You also will retain the use of your 6-disc in-dash if you have one!
as for your burned cd not playing....i would either switch brands and/or switch blank CD types-maybe you're using CD+R? switch to CD-R or vice versa-...i believe the industry is actually phasing one those formats out actually... anyway, good luck man!!
