Default Low-pitched hum, disappears when turning right

Hi,

I have a 2005 Mazda 6 1.8 TS which has developed a fairly loud low-pitched hum, the details of which I've not been able to match when seaching for existing posts and so I hope that someone may be able to help me out?

The hum kicks in around 30mph and has gotten gradually louder over the past couple of weeks. The hum stays when coasting or when changing gear, but it virtually disappears when I steer to the right (it remains when I steer to the left)

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Many thanks in advance for any assistance provided.

Hum is normally a wheel bearing
