Default MAF Customizer

Ive read alittle about the maf customizer but im still confused on what it does and how it gives you extra hp. Also do you have to have headers and cat back done on your car for the maf customizer to come into afftect. If anybody knows more about this part let me know please. Thanks

for the V6, there really is no CAI that compares to CP-E's piece. it is a combination of sorts of yoru typical CAI and a piggyback fuel trim device (though not exactly). this allows the unit to lean out fuels for optimum power (no worry for the engine for those wondering) while at the same time, telling the ecu things are all good, as not to set off a CEL as with other intakes. though pricey, it's an AWESOME piece! i think therpmstore.com has a good price on it still too

no other mods are necessary for it's posted gains, just install and enjoy.

FYI, i think they got the '06 ecu confirmed and are checking the '07 this week, but i would confirm it yourself before purchase to be safe.

Yea,I just had alot of issues because of living at High Altitude and the CAI would throw off my MAF and without the customizer,it's a real uphill battle...lol

customizer really is designed for the Injen intake alone, as it's design leans out the car more than the others (which is why i'd make more hp than AEM). though i'm sure you could use it, it might not have the same results.

...and my views are COMPLETELY different for cp-e's intake on the 6i

Good point............maybe there is a bigger difference between the 6s and the 6i when it comes to this issue. I haven't put one on my 6s but I do have one on my 6i so that might be the difference.
