Mazda 6 2.5sl UK keylight warning.
new on here.
However, bought car last Sept - really pleased drives well. BUT. had to replace battery within 2 months (not covered under Mazda waranty) and then the red 'keylight' now comes on intermittently and stays on.
Took to dealer who advised passenger door lock sensor (after slamming door on a number of occasions), (not covered by warranty), but as intermittent nothing to worry about (circa £500!!), fobs were checked also.
Anyway, all warning lights began to come on intermittently and couldn't turn engine off. back to dealer - advised poor earth - - cleaned and changed bolt from battery.
1 month later - - red key light coming on again - - intermittent - I cannot believe it's a door sensor.
Anyone come across this? or have any ideas? and for info Mazda warranty not worth a jot - as nothing appears to be covered anyway - must bear that in mind IF I decide to stick with Mazda - pity really because it's a great car.
Mazda if your're reading this -sort your customer service out in UK because it's toothless and admits to nothing.
Thanks for reading.

What about where that ground wire goes to!!!!! It goes to the body of the car and it could be bad. You need to clean the actual ground. I would also be concerned about the ground for the computer.
I don't know if this will fix your situation, but it is something that needs to be looked at. Personally i run an extra ground to the body, engine, transmission and throttle body.
My car is a canadian V6 2006.
Check the lousy ground in the pics and the wires that lead to it as mine were burnt. They need to be stripped back, extended and moved up closer to battery.
