Hi,

To start off I don't have much experience in cars.

I have an issue with my car wheel, sometimes turning left or right makes some sort of clunking, there is no sound but the person driving can feel it something biting.

In the company they told me its the 'boite direction' (I don't know what that is) and a brand new one costs 1350$ !!!! I asked for the part number to know what the hell is this thing that costs that much but they won't provide me with it.

So my question what is the 'boite direction', is it the steering gear ? steering rack ? I've done some googling and not sure if these are actually the same thing, here is a link of a what I think it is

Your model is notorious for having uneven steering feel/resistance between turning Left & Right.

However that picture is for hydraulic assisted steering, I've only ever seen a 2009 with electric assisted steering.
