Default Mazda 6 doors unlocking themselves while driving???

I have a 2006 mazda 6s and while driving the other day the doors started to unlock themselves. First it was the driver door and the other doors to follow and that was every couple of minutes. Then they started to go crazy. So I pulled over and took out the fuse for the door locks. So now that my door locks don't work the interior lights stay on only while driving. When I turn the car off the interior lights go off regardless if I open any doors or not. I called the dealer and they don't know without bringing it in. The dash does not display any door or trunk is open and I checked them all. Im thinking the remote control module/door lock module or BCM...I heard it operates all these items. Please give your input if you know someone who had this problem and the possible fix. The lovely 5 year extended warranty ran out 3 months ago

Could be the body control module. If it was me, I'd disconnect my battery for a good 20-30 minutes. It has cured a lot of stupid things with my car.

Well I tried disconnecting the battery today for about 2 hours and tried it...same problem. Is there any way to test the BCM or the door lock module? I think I can get a door lock module from a junk yard or ebay but I heard the BCM you should buy new and the dealer has to program it in order for it to work for your car. It's looking more like I will have to pay the dealer $95 just to look at it...

I just fixed my problem. It was the bcm. I was able to fix the old one. I took it apart, cleaned with baking soda and windex (does not contain phosphates) and got all the corrosion off. Put it back in the car and EVERYTHING works like it was before. Just saved $280 for the part You can fix it by doing this...How to Clean a Circuit Board With Baking Soda | eHow.com Worked perfect!!
