Default Mazda 6 lights - old for new?

I'm considering buying a 2 or 3 year old mazda 6. One of the things that I am attracted to is the design of the lights but I have read that around the end of 2004 the model underwent a remake and the lights were changed. I have seen the lights on a 2005 car and those are the ones that I want. What I would like to know is, would it be possible to fit the newer lights on the older model? If I could do that then I would be able to spend a little less and buy a 2004 car and then change the lights to my liking. This is all assuming that the lights were altered in the first place of course.

The newer model lights (both headlights and taillights) fit all model years.

Thanks for the reply. So that means I can go ahead and buy a 2004 model and switch the lights just like I was hoping.
