Default Mazda 6 Project: Euro to US conversion

hi everybody.

I am currently owning Mazda 6, 2003 with 1.8L engine (European model). It is european. I made some mods to it, nothing special I think.

However, now I decided to make more noticable changes, and therefore I decided to create this post.

I am currently in the process of buying another Mazda 6 (it was in a terrible car accident, so the body is not recoverable, but the engine, suspension, transmission, etc are good), 2004 with 2.3, and making a single SUPER MAZDA 6.

I dreamed about replacing my engine log time ago (1.8L is kinda small, and there are no turbo kits for it). There were no posts on google, so it seems like this will be first Mazda 6 Euro2US engine replacement in history!

I expect to:
replace 1.8L with 2.3
add turbo kit that is availabe for 2.3
Combine my manual with automatic on the US based transmissions
Replace sound system (have 2 subs 800w each, 2400w amp for them)
remove back seats and replace with front seats from the other Mazda (so there will be 4 separate seats). In time, replace all four with sport seats
get body kit
get plastic hood
finish the painting (it is now golden - black, I want to add some aerography)
couple of other mods.

Anyways, I hope there will be people who are interested in this project, who are willing to help and share their ideas.

I will keep you updated.

Seems like more trouble than it's worth IMO. I think you'd be much happier with a U.S. spec'd Mazda6 off the bat...better yet; why not tryfor a Mazdaspeed6?
