Mazda Speed 6! Opinions? Advice?

Mazda Speed 6! Opinions? Advice?
So, I'm about to buy a Mazda but it seems they really don't have too many AWD or RWD sedan options so I've set my eyes on the mazdaspeed 6. Nice car. Absolutely gorgeous and it'll be replacing a Cadillac Seville SLS 00. What should I look for when buying one? And what would be a good price?
Also, anyone in the Phoenix, AZ area that know of any for sale? I've only found two with this one being the cheapest.
06 Mazda Speed 6
Is 22k good or should I look for something better? And anyone own one of these? Are they fun? I have a 5.0 so I'd like this to be just as fun.

Well the Mazdaspeed 6 goes 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. So straightline speed wise, you will not miss much. There might be a slight turbo lag that you might not be use to. You will notice a big difference in handling. The 6 will handle much better due to its weight. You might have more fun in the 6. So go for it!

oh yes it is. It is not perfect. But it is a huge bargain to have a family sedan that can handle corners at 100+ mph. Test drive and see if you like. My friends dad bought one. He races a Corvette in SCCA races. He bought the Mazdaspeed 6 to be a economical daily driver. He got that and more. He told me he is going to race both of them now. The Mzspd 6 is a great bargain for $25,000!

I saw your post about the Speed6 and wanted to let you know I have one listed for sale on the forum classifieds. It is a 2006 Grand Touring model with only 3600 miles. I am in the LA area which is not that far from Phoenix. The only reason I am selling the car is financial - the car is a blast to drive but I have some other things (taxes) that require me to sell it. I'd be happy to send you some pictures and pictures are already posted on autotrader.com. The selling price you quoted of $23K sounds pretty good; dealers will charge a bit more, and private parties about that level.

I'm curious... did you end up purchasing a Speed6? I live in Chandler and drive a 2006 MazdaSpeed6 GT. I know there aren't a lot of them out there and always grin when I see one on the 101... and share a sigh of frustration when traffic is gridlocked, lol.
I picked mine up off the lot... has every option except the compass mirror and the nav and has tint and extra advanced keyless fob thingy... got it for about $27,000. I bought it on new years (and it was an 06) so I got $5k in rebates (06 deals and 07 deals) and I bought it from Showcase - who is the invoice bulk dealer.
Fun car - has some flaws and unresolved issues - but overall I love mine.
