Oh. my bad

I always had the impression that it was an I6 or Horizontally Opposed 6.

anyways. I definitely think the EVO is a nice lookin car, and so is the Mazda 6 (Not Speed)

and to the MAZDA GUY

haha. A COUPLE TENTHS? i really hope your not realted to 0-60 times.

Please do some more research before you post somethin so ridicoulous.

Bottom line. i like the older Mazda 6's better for body styles.....And the EVO and STI are very sporty but are ALSO Sedans. Its jus personal preference. their all AWD Forced Induced sedans. Some are quicker, nicer lookin, w/e it is. I believe it all comes down to personal preference

uhh he's right, the EVO is a couple thenths faster than the MSPD6. Car and driver said "we were expecting a clone of the STi and EVO (which are already 2 clones themselves) when we drove th eMAzdaspeed6 but we actually find it to be less harsh and smother. More tame (and sloweR) but alot more sophisticated than the rally rockets. The STi and EVO are boy's cars and the Mazdaspeed6 is a man's car."

ditto. The Mazdaspeed 6 goes 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. Doesnt the EVO go in about 4.6? I rather have a well rounded slower car then a car that goes fast on straigtways and lacks on the turns!

it is all opinions on here I should add. Dont take any offense. But the EVO is not a family sedan! The 6 has more room!

lol.

interesting.

ummm. u want to be an auto engineer right? well. lets say that the mazda 6 puts down a 0-60 time of 5.4

and the evo9 does 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds.

O.k, well to me, that is 1 full second. and I dont know about you. but the way i learned my math is 1/10 is equivalent to .1seconds.

Sorry bud, but i believe your wrong. No offense givin.

But yea. Mazda Guy. I totally agree that the mazda is more of a family sedan. BUT when you said "It Lacks on Turns."

Check this out and post your comments.

P.S- This is not the EVO9 MR. Its a Modded FQ 300 i believe. but its still using the same drivetrain and gives you an outline of the kinda potential the EVO platform has.

oh yeah I thought you were saying "a couple of tenths!" as in that was too much time and you thought they were even. most people think the MSPD6 is nearly identical to the STi/EVO series. Yeah the rally rockets are much faster.

And I know both the EVO and STi series.

-Mistubishi Lancer Evolution I through V
-Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommy Makanin edition
-Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII (was actually based on the Gallant platform but was too slow)
-Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII (back to old lancer inspired platform and brought to U.S.)
-Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII F.Q. 300, 320, and 330 (the F.Q. actually legally stands for f%&*ing quick)
-Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR
-Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR F.Q. 340 (world record longest automotive name and fastest evo only sold in U.K.)
-Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX
-Mistubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR

-Subaru Impreza WRX (all generations)
-Subaru Impreza WRX RS (2 door not sold in America)
-Subaru Impreza WRX STi (all but first generation)
-Subaru Impreza WRX STi RS (non American market, 2 seater in all but first 2 generations)
-Subaru Impreza WRX STi RS R-GT (fastest but does not beat MR F.Q. 340 EVO also non american market)

87 turbo II: You've been a good moderator, but I don't plan visiting this forum again. When I start reading childish posts, such as from "talnteddriver29", I feel I'm wasting my time. I prefer instead to read more informative posts, and articles, from people that actually know what they are talking about - based on actual experience, in-depth research, and the ability to provide accurate critiques on the cars we are talking about. See ya!

Good luck finding any forum where you don't have a couple people spouting off. I find this forum to be one of the better one's

I wouldn't change a thing on here. You just have to be wary of the information given and clarify it with other sources. If you're taking the word of a stranger on how to work on your car at face value, you aren't doing yourself any good at all.
