Default New guy with some questions....(these posts seem common)

Hey...Ok lets just get down to buisness....

First off (this may be a common question in other posts but i browsed through and didn't see it) What are some cheaper ($500 range) performance upgrades. I already have an Intake on my 03 Mazda6. I wanted to get new wheels but because of financial resaons i cant. For now (other reasons) an exaust is out as well. If it would be possible for a person of sub moderate automotive skills (my friend and i installed my intake and thats about my experience...) to "put on" or whatever this part, a level of difficulty would be great.

If i were to ever get an exaust what would be the best? I have heard great things about Greddy, but personal experience is better...

Calipers. Ok so if I wanted to paint them...How would i go about doing that? Is it difficult? Etc.

Thanks guys.

Hehe, well you can get a lightened flywheel to increase acc. Or if you cant find an aftermarket one, then have a shop shave some oz. off the stock one. You can also go nitrous, which is safe if youd dont abuse it. Umm, for exhuast, theres magnaflow and injen. The injen exhuast is more exspensive. But the magnaflow is about $500. You can get higher comp. pistons made for around $400 dollars, but dont know if that will help cus the com. ratio is already 10.1.0 or something like that. (not good with comp. ratios) Well thats all I can think of for performance mods. Free mods is taking out stuff from your car. I thinks is for every 15lbs taken out of your car is like adding 1 hp. Hope this helps, and good luck.

Does the injen exhaust system or the magnaflow exhaust system provide better performance?

Of course they do. Your replacing your heavy stock crushed bent exhaust with a aluminum mandrel bent straight through exhaust. Plus you get the bonus of a nice tone from your car.
