Default Oil Cooler

I just saw an add for an engine oil cooler. It says it's supposed to be used with higher heat turbo'd engines, but if I were to get it and put it on my stock 6s, wouldn't it still help? I'm using full syntec oil but wondered if the cooler would be bad for business in the winter (in NJ we have all the seasons). Can someone answer me that?

Default RE: Oil Cooler

Help with what?? Your oil is ok to get heated up and evaporate the moisture that builds up. Coolers are used for engines with turbos that heat oil as if flows into the turbo or the 8 which uses the oil as a primary source of cooling for the rotors in the engine. Your engine oil temp should be fine. No it will not hurt but duobt it will help in any way. If you are driving an auto trans then look instead to a trans oil cooler. That will help much more then an engine oil cooler.
