Default Pause on CD for 04 Sportwagon Bose System

Hey Guys,

Been really busy lately but noticed one thing on my stock radio system. When I hit the mute feature – it kills the sound on the radio which is fine and also the CD player. The problem is – I can’t find a pause feature for the CD player.

Is there a pause feature for our stock system? I have a Bose system with the 6 in dash CD player.

Thanks in advance…

The Mazda stereo is weird, I have the standard one in my 2006 M6 and even through the manual clearly says it should be a 6 cd chganger it can only load 1 cd even through it has a load button, don't know whatup with that either.

And mine does not have a pause button or a stop button.

Dew..if you have the Load Button then you have to do the following:

Press the load button and look at the display on top and you will set it blink - Wait Wait Wait

Then it will say load CD or insert for CD 2

For 3 and after advance the CD indicator...you will get the hang of it.

Congrats on the new 6....which body style?

Unfortunately there is no pause. Muting the stereo only cuts the sound while the cd keeps playing. The only way to "pause" the cd would be to switch to radio or turn off the stereo.

Mario, mine is the 6s 3.0, 5 speed manual, silver on black interior. Just so you know I have held that load button for a very long time and it never blinks and never goes past CD1, it would be nice to know if mazda makes a cingle cd stereo unit...cause if mine is broken I can get it replaced under warranty.

Another weird thing is that the mute on my car actually pauses the CD as well and it will start playing again on its own after about 10 min.....is there somethign wrong my stereo unit or did mazda just put a really cheap one in my car?

Dew,

If you have the standard then maybe it is the 1 CD version. The Bose version has the 6 in the dash. That may be the case...[:'(]

Mario,

Just turn it "off". When you later press "on", the cd will resume playing in the same spot that you left off from. It does the same thing if you park the car and turn off the ignition.A cool feature, I think. Cheers,

David
