Proper way to jump start 09 Mazda 6?
#2
Last week when i jump started my 2006 mazda 6 i used my dad's 2010 Honda Civic.
First I hooked up jumper cables to the fresh Honda Civic. Then be careful not to touch the other 2 cable ends, I put the positive one on to my dead battery and found a ground on engine bay (I have a huge ground wire from engine to battery). I tried but still dead. I revvved up honda civic over 2200 rpm for 20 secs and still nothing. So I then attached the ground from my engine to my dead battery negative terminal----still nothing. I revved up the Honda Civic to get charge up for 20 seconds, went to start my car and it started. My cables aren't the best, but that's how i did it. then i grabbed both cables and disconnected my battery and then I disconnected the honda civic. Both cars are still alive and doing well.
Attaching cable to a dead battery won't fry anything.
