Default Regrets

So I am just curious with the few posts going on right now that seem to be popular...All the bad things about the trannys and such. Does anyone here honestly regret getting there mazda 6?

I do not.

I will admit a few months ago I went to a nissan dealership and almost bought the 2007 altima. I just like the look and the dash. Couldn't get the price I wanted and I am happy I didn't. All friends said they like the m6 better...

But what about you guys? Any regrets and/or looking at any others cars...?

I just purchased an '05 6S with 40k miles on it. It looks brand new and it seems like the previous owner took great care of it. In those ten days I've discovered the fan control module recall and had that taken care of and now it's in the shop for a new throttle body (I'm about to research that to see if others have had this problem).

I guess there's two ways of looking at it:

1.) I bought a Mazda that's supposed to be a pretty reliable vehicle which I've enjoyed driving (for the few days I could) that has a few problems the dealer is taking care of and hopefully it will be problem free until I purchase my next Mazda (regardless of the problems I've experienced I'm convinced this is a great automobile).

2.) I just inherited someone elses problems and I'm making payments on it...

I'll hope and pray it's #1!

My wife loves hers to death...If it was AWD, we'd never sell it. (51,000 trouble free miles and counting.)

I bought my '04 6s at 33,000 miles and have put 27,000 on it. I only have a few regrets, first it just doesn' t have enough power/not what i was expecting. Second, I feel that is has depreciated way too fast. Third, I love the style/look of the car just wish it was rear wheel drive.

The only car I have seen lately that catches my eye is the Lexus LS460L, which i went to the dealership and found out I was dreaming if ever thought I would get one starting at $71,000 base model pushing 380hp.

I love my 06 Mazda 6s. Everything about is what i wanted for the price. The only regret i have on my mazda is not getting a manual trans. I got and 06 instead of and 07 because it was cheaper and they didnt have any manuals left the way i wanted it so i went with and auto which is a huge mistake. Other then that alittle more power would be nice but for 20 grand it puts out alot. So all in all i love my Mazda.

I am still happy with my Mazda6 at 24,000 miles. Mazda's are known for great reiliability. The Rotary engine has some issues. But I think alot of people on here may be driving their car too hard. It is easy to drive the 6 to its limits. Unlike most cars, the 6 begs to be driven. Sometimes it it torture to not drive the 6 hard. If you do, you will blow a clutch or burn a tranny. It is not a race car. If you give the car respect, it will give you respect in return.

I agree. I push it to the limit sometimes, but rarely...and it keeps me going good for me!
