Default Remote control: Doors won't open

Hi People,

i am the owner of a Mazda 6 from 2004.
I have a remotecontrol with two buttons: lock/unlock.
It is very strange, but the doors will lock with the lock button but don't open with the unlock button. i allready changed batteries, with no results.
Is this a common issue with the remote? Does anybody has experience with this? It is very anoying to pen the car all the time with the key...
thanks for your replies!

I have a 2006 Mazda 6.
Pressing the unlock button once should only unlock the driver door.
Pressing the unlock button twice should unlock all doors.
Do you have the second remote? Try it.
If you hold down the unlock button, your front windows should go down!
Pic below is my remote:

Thansk you for reply. I found the issue. When opening the remote the two buttons where totally cut of from the circuit board,. I need to solder these. Then the issue is solved. I advice others with the same problem to open there remote and look closely to the circuitboard if there is a need in soldering again.
Thanks!

2004, from memory has the key & a separate remote. Its becoming common for either the lock or unlock button on the remotes to die.
