Default Rust warrantee recall

My 2005(2nd 6 months of) Mazda 6 Sport (2.3l 6 gear, 5 door hatchback) went in for 60,000mile service about a month ago. I was told that there would be a check for rust in the wheel arches as there had been a note from Mazda that this needed to be checked because of some problems with rust on some Mazda 6's.

I hadn't noticed it at all until it was pointed out after the inspection and there is indeed rust under the rear wheel arches.

While appalled that there should be such a problem at all I am glad that Mazda is fixing it under warrantee.

However...

It appears that what Mazda pays the dealer to do the work is not enough to cover a proper courtesy car for me to use while they work on my car for a week. All they can offer me is a Renault Clio with a limited weekly mileage of 300miles (I usually do over 500miles per week) with a charge to me of 20pence for each mile over 300. And I have to add the courtesy car to my own insurance fully comprehensive. I asked if the dealer owner would let me borrow his Bentley for a week but for some reason they weren't up for that.

Any thoughts??

Regards,

Jon

Steal it... the Bentley I mean, but I have to warn you... your Mazda 6 will never again feel the same.

I expect a similar effect with the renault clio courtesy car. Diving my Mazda 6 after that will never feel the same after that either. But it should feel better - not worse!
