For the 3.0 I'd recomend the CPe MAFCi intake. It's the most expensive, but also gives the biggest gains due to the little black box it comes with that changes the Air/Fuel ratios to give you more power. Barring that I'd say go with the AEM intake. It's reasonably priced, sounds good, won't trip CEL's (unless the filter gets wet, but that goes for any of the intakes), will give you a reasonable gain, and the filter never needs oiling, only cleaning once a year or so.

well dang I always thought the speed6 had the 3.0. but I was worried that the fact it's turbocharged would change things but I'll check out that intake you mentioned CKeffer, but the AEM would be 1st choice financially. do ya'll know of a good exhaust system for the 2.3 that doesn't sound like a ricer? I've read the Tanebe axle back system is ok

If you have the 2.3L then all the intakes perform the same, don't waste the money on the CPe. As for exhaust, the Magnaflow unit sounds very nice.

Yup. It has little to no rasp (unless you also have a header), and generally just gives it a deeper more aggressive tone without making it super loud.

I concur with that. I knew a woman that used to work w/us that had a 1st gen 6 w/the Magna Flow. It sounded SWEET!!
Chances are though that whsatever is out there will sound good. These engines are more low-end grunt than high-end scream anyway, so they tend to be throaty when opened up a bit.
Hondas tend to be raspy (IMO) because they don't make a lot of power until you're much higher in the rev band... and I'm sure engine/cylinder head design has something to do with that too.

I wouldn't say they have no power. I drove an S2000 at an autocross recently, and that thing had plenty of power and could kick the back end out when asked....so long as you kept the rpms up.

They have power, but not a lot of low-end torque which is why, like Cameron said, you have to keep the R's up and keep 'em there.
