Sirius Radio Sound Quality on 2015 Mazda 6
#2
I am pleased to read this question!
I have lamented to Sirius about the sound quality from day-1.
To me it sounds like a very low-quality bit-stream on YouTube. EVERYTHING has artifacts/squeechy TERRIBLE sound.
When Sirius wanted me to subscribe, I told them about the issue. It is a very unpleasant listening experience considering the overall quality of the Bose system in the 6.
I've written it off...

Sirius Update
Since my original post, I reported the sound quality issue to Sirius and they attempted to troubleshoot the problem by sending a "booster" signal to my radio - with no resulting improvement in sound quality. Their advice was to take the car back to my dealer for them to replace the Sirius Radio module. I can't wait to hear the reaction form my dealer on that one. I'll report back.

I was about to post this question in a new thread but was a good boy and searched first. Granted this is an old thread but it holds true for my 2014 Cx9 with Bose Premium sound.
With bluetooth from my phone (either Pandora or my own library of music) and the regular FM stations, the sound is phenomenal. Sirius, however, sounds like the crappy radio in the 1981 Corolla I drove to college.
Any further info on this issue? I have a 2015 Kia Optima with Sirius and it sounds great.
