RE: speed
It's not that easy (or cheap)....You would need to create your own fuel map to run the engine to run the standalone computer. To do this right, you need ready access to a dyno ($$$$) to tune/tweak the fuel mapping for ideal.
I'd say top end on a stock Mazda6 beyond the speed limiter is in the 140-145 mph range.

RE: speed
My 2007 Mazda 6 barely makes 110 mph, then starts gasping for air. There is a speed limiter( I asked my gear head mazda mechanic)
Some one must know how to swap out chips or overide this feature. I plan on adding a cold air intake and a decent catback exhaust,if I can ever find one. Got that need for speed!

RE: speed
email the guys over at Unichip. though i have yet to get confirmation from the people that have it on the car, but i believe they say it will remove the gov. so for like $750 or so you'd get a bit of gains as well as remove the gov.

RE: speed
I have no prob. hitting 120 in 4th gear, then the nose drops and my back comes off the seat when the car stops pulling. After all that it will sputter from 119 to 120 cutting in and out!!! I want to go faster in the car! I do have a weekend ride GSX1000 that will do 160mhp.
