Starts, runs 1or2 seconds then dies...plugs soaked
Hi all, this my first post. I recently pulled the motor on my '93 Mazda 626 2.5 L. Replaced siezed cam and put in new clutch disc, timing belt etc. I put the motor back in then attempted to start it. She fired right off, but then died after a second or two. Would not even hiccup after that on several retries. I immediately pulled a spark plug to see if wet or dry. It was soaked with gasoline. I next checked to see if any spark. Plenty of spark. Looks to me as if ignition is just plain being drowned. Why so much gas?? Also I found upon checking things that I had neglected to connect the plug to the air flow sensor. So....per a post on this site after reconnecting air flow sensor I disconnected the battery, waited about a minute reconnected battery then pressed brake pedal five times to remove code. Tried to start, but no response at all. I would really appreciate any help anyone could offer. Thanks
