tough starting, won't restart when hot
Own a 2007 mazda 6 w/ 185k. Ran perfect until this. Tough starting like it's fouled, stumbles and then catches. accelerates slowly. Too much gas it bogs, too little it stalls. Runs normal a while but as it gets hot wants to die at low revs. Finally if you turn off when hot it'll restart immediately but if you wait it won't, then it has to cool back down to start same process. Replace/cleaned lots of things with no luck. Talkative guy at mazda dealer swears its carbon buildup in the intake manifold. Says it'll start because carbon hasn't absorbed fuel yet. Says when it does starts and you run it a while carbon absorbs gas and when you shut it off it shows too much fuel?
Does that sound possible? Anyone else have this?
