weird noises??
i just bought a used 2003 mazda 6 s sedan w/ 38000miles yesterday at a chrysler dealership and while i was driving earlier i can hear some weird noises. first when turning the steering wheel 100% left or right, as the car slowly moves i can hear some noise maybe coming from the front axles. 2nd when im going below 20mph and if i brake smoothly it makes noises i think coming from the brake system...
i think i still have some powertrain warranty left....... will they cover it?? i just called tonight but there already close... should i just contact the dealer i bought it from or just contact any mazda service dealer about it???
what do u guys think is the problem???

RE: weird noises??
Ok, the sound when you turn the wheel all the way to the stops, does it sound like a whine or a clank? If it's a whine, it's just the p/s pump straining because you are putting the wheel to the stop, sometimes it's an indication of low p/s fluid. If it'sa clank, there may just be some slop which should be fixed by an alignment.
The brake sound is it a squeak or a grind? If it's a squeak it may just be brake dust/dirt buildup on the rotors/pads. If it's a grind you need new pads and rotors immediately, which is not covered under warranty as it is a normal wear item.
