Winter wheel size for '05 Mazda6 I4
Hello All,
Does anyone know if the 15in. steel wheel for the '03 - '04 Mazda6 will fit the '05? I am concerned about the front about the offset and disk brake clearance.
Thank you for any advice,
G Beaulieu

15" wheels on a 6? Are you sure that you are not confusing the 3i wheels w/a 6 series car?
Since in the 3 series the 15's will only fit a base 3i model because of brake clearence issues (smaller brake on the 3i models,) and the 6 is already a bigger, heavier car, plus it already has the 2.3L engineI would have to assume no, especially since you already have 17's on there.
For the 3 series (again,) the smallest wheel to fit a 2.3L car is a 16". And I just checked Tire Rack"s site. The smallest they offer is a 16".

I think I am confused because I've noticed a few posts from people that are running 15" steel wheels on their Mazda6's in the snow belt areas.
On a quick search, I found 3 sites that list a 15x6 steel wheel for the '03 -'04 Mazda6 (OEM #: 9965L96050). They are carbodyparts.net,iautobodyparts.com, andautomotix.net. There may be more sites.
I have also heard that the spare tire is a 15". So, I am not sure.
