CNA= Certified Nursing Asst?

I too come from a medical family, though I am not in the profession myself.
Before his early death in '76 @ age 59, Dad was a doctor, a GP and anesthesiologist.
Mom and older sister were RN's... now retired. I'm not sure if my sister still keeps up her license, but I know @ 88, Mom is definately and finally retired.

that was now almost 35yrs ago. I was just 19 myself, but there's no reason for you to be sorry. He and I didn't have the best relationship in the first place. He was old-school and I was new... for that time. We really didn't have too much in common, and I always felt a little uncomfortable around him.

As for ME being a DOCTOR.... HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Between the fact that I was a terrible student in school, couldn't care less about medicine, hated wearing a shirt and tie (still do. Big surprise there) and was more into Rock 'n' Roll, and cars I don't think that was in the cards for me.
And since then the profession has gotten to be even more of a political nightmare, law suits and malpractice insurance costs, the way the drug companies are, there are no general hospitals that are in it to serve people only make money!! No thank you. I dread going the next time I need a hospital for something. I have stories I could tell you.....
Again, no thank you.
