Default 2006 6s grand sport 18 rims

3 months after I purchased this car I hit a pothole at about 60mph, ouch. I bent 2 rims and replaced both at $420 each, fancy mazda rims. That sucked but I understood what happened. About 6 months later I noticed a vibration on my steering wheel when braking. I took it to the shop to get the brakes checked. The mechanic told me I had 2 bent rims. What? I dont remember hitting anything, and I would know. I wanted to have him move them to the back and put the rear ones up front until I could afford to get new ones. He went to move them and saw that both rears were also damaged, you gotta be kiddin me. % rims in about 8 months with the same driving methods I've been using for 22 years and several cars, 2 of which were mazdas. I cant believe that I am the only one having problems with these rims. Anyone out there?

I've not heard (read) of any problems w/these before.
I'm guessing.... you live in NJ?? I know how terrible the roads are there. They are bad enough to be wheel eaters.

we have the same problem with our rims and tires, always bent, out of balance, even when brand new ???? dealer told us today that they "eye balled" our rims and we have 2 bent. they can fix for $150 each or replace both for $500. I think we might just buy some after market rims and see if our luck is any better. btw we live in Fl.

I gotta' say that the Tribute seems to be having all kinds of problems these days. It has become one of the most active part of this forum.
I wonder if its sister car, the Escape, has these problems too?
