Accord v. Mazda reliability

Accord v. Mazda reliability
I'm getting ready to buy a new car. I currently have a 92 Accord LX which has been the most reliable car I could have ever had for the last 10 years. However, it is that time again. I test drove the Mazada A6 base, 5-speed and feel in love with the way it drove. It handles beautifully, it sticks, the engine is so quiet, and it's got some zip. It felt like the 170 horsepower had more pick-up than the 190 EXL. Ok, so I know 90% of the people in this forum are going to support the Mazda 6 over the Accord. But I know what I get with the Accord. I seriously need to know the reliability of Mazda vehicles. Do they typically have a lot of engine problems, or other bumper to bumper internal problems? Please give me your honest opinion.

RE: Accord v. Mazda reliability
Personally I believe that the Mazda will be as reliable as a Honda.
That said, just for the sake of argument, what if you were to decide that the Mazda was going to require a few more repairs over the expected time you will have your next car, then the question you ask yourself will have to be, "Am I willing to put up with a few more repairs for a car that is more enjoyable to drive?"
Only you can answer that question.
