Default Allow my self to introduce...my self...

Hello Forum Goers,

My name is PJ, and i just recently bought a 1993 Mazda MX-6.

I hope to learn a lot on this forum and in the end have a great looking, well performing mx-6.

I am not new to the mazda scene. Several years ago i have the privilege of owning a 1980 Rx-7.

I enjoy working on cars (naturally) and wheeling my '89 jeep cherokee.

I am currently going to college and will be receiving my AA in Diesel Equipment Technology.

Well thats about it, hope to meet some of you guys around the forum.

PS since im introducing my self i guess ill introduce my car.

also, could anyone tell me what engine i have? i believe it is the regular old FS @ 115 hp, but if someone could verify that would be great! what gets me is the FS2 casting on the head, i found nothing related to this.

looks like a 2ltr 115 brake - think we only had the 2.5 GT in the UK. Think the Ford Probe had a similar engine here

yeah, that is a 2.0 fs-de. that is the first generation of that motor though. the block and head are the same as the protege 2.0 engine, but the electronics and valve cover are the same as the bp 1.8 dohc motor. it's actually a pretty nominal set-up. a lot of the protege guys were swapping to the coils and valve cover that motor uses. they claim that it adds a little bit of extra power.
