Default Check engine, no cooling, etc.

Hi, I have a 99 626 Auto. I (or the shop) replaced...engine at 60k, transmission at 57k and 120k, and bunch of others. Definitely not cheap. Now my check engine light is on and code talks about turbo problem!?!? I/shopreplacing motor/transmission mounts and cooling fan is not coming on so mechanic says replace cooling fan.
Q - Should I check relay first before replacing cooling fan? Where is it located?
Q - What is causing engine light andcan I fix this or have to take to mechanic also?

Babyhuey, help. I saw you post some specific check on amp fuse, checking wires, relay etc and I will try to see if I can get them done myself.

If anyone else has same problems and fixed them, pls let me know. Thanks.

You should be able to check for power/ground at the fan motor. If it has power and ground and the fan doesnt work then the motor is bad. If a fan goes bad it can set an engine code. Like knock sensor etc.

Thanks for your response. One more thing,I found Motorcraft speed sensor for 626 listed as part SW6274. However, not sure if this is for transmission speed sensor or actual vehicle speed sensor for odometer. Does anyone know? Appreciate any help.

It's for the trans, and not for the speedo.
