First (and probably last) Mazda
Thought we bought a nice car (Mazda 5). Had it less than a week and it was recalled and we will probably be without it 2 months before we get it back. Mazda isn't keeping the dealers informed and our dealer isn't keeping us informed. We have to call to beg for info. The dealer never initiates the call when they learn something.
Was treated much better by Toyota, Nissan and Lexus. I know where we won't be going for the next vehicle.

Well welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear about your car...
If you go to the Mazda 5 forum here you will see that there is a constant update of the information regarding that recall issue for all the 5's. The recall is very frustrating and I am sorry it's with Mazda and a brand new model from Mazda.
But hope to hear things get alittle better soon... good luck!

No. Not yet.
I was amazed when the service manager at the dealership suggested I call Mazda directly. My response was "I expect you to be my advocate with Mazda." He stutterred around a little and then said he agreed.
I may contact Mazda but I'm not letting the dealer off the hook. I expect them to be proactive and not lie to me. (They promised to keep my Mazda 5 inside while waiting for the repair and when I asked to see it I was led to the back lot where it was outside and the rain spots indicated it had been there for several days.)
