Hi Charles, and welcome to the greater Mazda family!!
Congrats on the new ride too.
The new gen 5's are certainly a bit of a departure from the 1st gens, but I lke 'em.

Be sure to post some pics or start a garage to keep track of maintianence and mods if you choose to do any.

Congrats Charles. I bought a new 2012 Mazda 5 grand touring 10 days back. I got a very good deal on it but I blowed it away by signing up for KARR security system without good knowledge of what I am signing for.

I started another thread on how I can get KARR security system removed.

Overall I am happy with my Mazda 5 - zoom zoom.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I really like the fact that it's a different kind of vehicle. Although I wish I had the 6mt. LOL. Sorry to hear that you got the KARR security system mantram. Those dealers tend to be very shady and don't like to inform the consumer what they are getting. I was having some issue with the bluetooth in my touring, the sales guy was rude and so was the service manager. I guess it's after the purchase they don't even know who you are. Damn those salespeople.

ZOOM ZOOM is the way to go!

Guys, my dealer is offering me Mazda Total Advantage Plan on 6yr/75k for $1270 and 8yr/100K extended bumper to bumper warranty for $1200 on my new 2012 Mazda 5.

By the way, Dealer refused to refund on KARR security system but he is giving $250 ($150 on Extended Warranty and $100 on Advantage Plan) off on these new services that he is offering.

I am not able to decide if it is worth taking these or not. Can you please share your views?

Mantram, I would not purchase extended warranty and I'll tell you why. My wife purchased an extended warranty on her 2004 Corolla. 1. It cost $2000, 2. Never used it. It extended it to 7 years or 100k. I don't believe in buying the warranty because its something we buy to be used as dd's. We live in an area where most people who buy their cars new and will blow the 36k warranty in less than a year. If it was a used car, then yes get it. Brand new, no. Hope this helps.

Update: Mazda5 with tinted windows.
