As an ex-owner of an 06 350z, I cross-shopped / test drove the RX8 and love em.
As a current owner of an 09 Lancer Ralliart, I cross-shopped / test drove the Mazdaspeed 3 and I love them.

Big reason for going against the mazdas is dealership experience.
