I have a 2009 Mazda tribute, and my power steering comes and goes,I have replaced break pads and rotors on it,I have changed the 80 amp relay,Help what should I do now.

 

Check the level of the power steering oil.

 

I had an issue with my 08 mazda 3 in which I would suddenyl lose power steering and all the lights on my dash would flash. It was really random and scary. Turns out it was a faulty battery. Got a new battery and the issue was solved. What was weird is that I would be driving down the highway and as soon as I would press the brake the issue would suddenly take place. I can't explain it mechanically, all I know is a brand new battery solved the issue.

So I guess my question for you would be when was the last time you got a new battery? Hard to be 100% sure without at least having it tested.
