Hi people

clicked on your garage, saw your pics. The body is in A1 shape. The body ground effects kit is way over the top, so much so it is preventing you from lowering the car for a proper stance and better handling. Lowering it would make it impossible with that ground kit for a daily driver. I would rather have the car a little lower than have a body kit---to each his own though. The wing is just too much for me. Wings are only good for racing---but you haven't showed us anything under the hood, so i'm assuming there is no power adder.
I prefer go over show. You may prefer show over go--for the girls!

Thank you for your input but the car is to my taste and i have received many compliments already on its style. im not looking to take it on a track so lowering it is of no importance as it corners very well already. The body kit and alloys give it a lowered look already. I appreciate the advice. Thank you.
P.s. im not interested in girl pulling as i am engaged and due to be married, the looks are for my pleasure. Also the images are stretched.

You are the poster child for "Ricer".
Ricers were originally termed to Asian market vehicles that have modifications only targeted towards appearance and yield no actual performance gains.
'Ricer' as defined by Urban Dictionary: "Any person who adds tasteless modifications to a perfectly normal automobile. "
A person who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to):
- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747 (I call this a wing nut!)
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool
- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
- Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire
- Clear tail lights and corner signals
I wouldn't say yours is tasteless, but just over the top and useless. That ground kit adds weight and looks stupid with a stock ride height. Yours is at least a good looking Ricer, except for the stock ride height.
You should do something about the gap above your wheels to the body to at least fool people that it is lowered. After doing this, your car will actually look good to people who actually know something about cars, not people walking down the street or people you meet in parking lots!

Haha that is interesting. I have never heard of "Ricer" before. However it is not all visual mods. It has a full induction kit, straight through stainless exhaust system, fuel pressure valve, and am looking into upgraded fuel injectors. It is a work in progress and yes I agree with the space between the wheels. I will look at possibilities in the near future but for now I am happy.

hey johnboy, welcome to the forum.
I have to say I like the body kit on your MX6. It has flowing curves that go well with the rounded flowing look of the MX6.
I am not a modifier. Once it adds weight, 2. in general it is hard to improve on a well done industrial design. But this body kit really works for your car.
I am pleased to see you have some humor! How are your chop stick handling skills?

Carry on. Thanx again.
Now you learned a new term today "Ricer", maybe get an idea from the light blue honda with his fenders out and lowered a bit to narrow the gap. That car is the best of the bunch, but he went out to far in front and rear.
the rest were pretty scary.
Here's my fav weird one, but it looks some one photoshopped the wing on top of that little sh.it.box.

Thank you for the welcome. Glad you like what I done with my MX6. I did try to find the right body kit for the car as the MX6 is very curvy and I did not want to destroy that look. And yes, what is life without a laugh eh? My handling skills are good my friend, not too sure what you mean by "chop stick" though lol. You may need to explain that one for me .

Once you get the wheel clearance figured out with some fender flares or custom body work, then you will have a nice machine.
Carry on. Thanx again.

It's just a play on "rice--ricer". Asian food tastes better when you eat with chop sticks.
Noggin: you call the Festiva a s#!t box? Foolish , very foolish. These are actually Mazda and have enthusiast following.
