I love my 86 Mazda B2000!!
"Gracie"
Hello Everyone. My name is Mike and i just got a 86 Mazda B2000 and I'm Love it!! The last owner got it from his dad who was the original owner and they both took very good care of it. I am super lucky to have this trunk and plan on taking very good care of it myself.
With that in mind can anyone recommend other forums that could also help answer some of my repair and parts questions. There so old I think I may have trouble finding parts (my mechanic replaced the throttle and said it was the last one the part store was going to be keeping in stock) so any advice on that would be a big help.
I have done basic repairs on other cars I'v owned (handles, headlights) but nothing major yet.
Thanks to everyone that contribute to the forum, I hope to use it so I can keep learning about how to take care of my new trunk.
So long for now.
Mike

Mike,
What an incredible find. It looks like it has less than 20,000 miles on it. Even the graphics look perfect.
I purchased an 86 B2000 new and sold it about 7 years later. The bed was rusted through and was replaced. I later learned that the replacement bed also rusted. The Mid-Atlantic was hell on vehicles of that generation. I bought mine when they first came out in 85 before the cab plus was available.
I believe Ford also sold a version of the B2000 in 1986 and you may have better luck looking for the comparable Ford part when you get stuck.
As for another forum, or source of information about your truck, I doubt there are any much better. Mazdas, with the exception of the rotary engines, are extremely reliable so the communities of owners working to keep their cars on the road have not developed to the extent that they have for some other brands.
Good luck and thank you for sharing it with us.
