Just got my first Mazda!
My past vehicles...
1) 1996 Volvo 960 - I drove the hell out of this car as a teenager. The in-line 6 has some pull and it was loaded with options for its time. It might have been a box on wheels, but it was a sweet first car! haha
2) 1991 Nissan Pathfinder - I swapped cars with my brother and had a blast with the 4-wheel drive in this bad boy. It was a mini tank, but had a weak engine and it only got weaker. I did cross the 250k mile mark in it though and was proud of that! (Not all my miles of course)
3) 1993 Isuzu Trooper - My first manual transmission. We actually got it for my sister, but I was dying to have the manual, so I traded her right away. Another terribly weak engine though... I thought the pathfinder was a much better vehicle, but this was manual so there was no way I could pass it up. Eventually left school and gave this vehicle up to other family members as I couldn't have a car my first year.
4) 1998 BMW 328i - Found my first love...haha Manual transmission of course and drove this thing like it was an BMW M3. I did everything I could to improve it on a budget. However, I ended up getting a great dane and there was no way he would fit...Had to give it up and go back to the SUV.
5) 2003 Chevy Trailblazer - Got a good deal on this and traded in the 328i for it. Unfortunately, it is also automatic. Still have the thing for hauling the dogs (got a second great dane) and my fiancee now drives it to and from school.
6) 2012 VW Passat V6 - Needed a second car and wanted to get something that was a little more luxury at an affordable price. VW was stupid and didn't make it in manual, but I couldn't find any other manufacturers that made manual in the same class with the same features either. Enjoyed the power, but ended up missing the manual more than I thought I would, which brings me to now...
7) 2013 Mazda3 HB - Traded in the Passat to get better gas mileage, manual transmission and a lower monthly payment. I've only had it a week, but I've really enjoyed it so far. The skyactive-g is obviously not made to produce power, but I still find it pretty fun to drive around town. Already looking at options to modify it and make it my own! Getting the windows tinted on Tuesday and will most likely get a CAI in the next month. Haven't decided where I'll go from there, but plan to look over these threads to get some ideas!
Probably more than you ever cared to know...but that's my story!
