looking to buy cx-5

Just the basics of any used car. No unique problems. Look for the best cared for vehicle you can find. Some have had problems with the red paint, others love it so much, they would take the chance. (chips and difficult to match)
The drive of a Mazda is sportier than most other brands. If you like to drive, you should prefer a Mazda over the competition. If you are looking for an appliance to get from point A to B, look elsewhere. If you want to enjoy getting there drive a Mazda. (If you want to enjoy the drive and have twice the money and a good mechanic, buy a BMW)
I would not drive anything else. I also would confidently pass down my last 3 Mazdas to a family member with 100,000 miles.
