Default New to Mazda, new to forum

Hello from not-so-sunny Australia!

After many years of German motoring (Audi, BMW, etc), Herself and I decided to take the momentous step of going from two cars down to just one. Which presented a fairly major problem - I’m I dyed-in-the-wool petrolhead with a long history of performance and modified cars, and Herself is… not. After much searching, test driving, and so forth, we settled on a new CX 30, which we took delivery of just 10 days ago.

I was initially a little anxious about how I would adjust to the car, having stepped out of a very modified Audi A5 coupe. I needn’t have worried - the car is excellent! Okay, its nowhere near as quick as the Audi was, but its every bit as comfortable (more so, in fact), well finished and well appointed. Very happy with the switch, and Herself is revelling in not trying to get in and out of a low slung coupe!

I’m looking forward to meeting other members of the forum.

Welcome to the forum. If you had stated all your facts and asked which vehicle you should purchase, I would have recommended the CX-30 as the perfect vehicle for the two of you.

Beyond the luxury feel, perfect ride height, and excellent driving dynamics, you will be impressed with Mazda reliability for years to come.

Thank you for the welcome, kind sir.
I’ve just recalled my only real gripe with the car - unlike the lucky USA, it seems there are no current plans to bring the recently released (and very spritely) CX 30 Turbo to Oz.... [sobs]

It’s a shame the turbo is not available in the land of the Holden V8 and wide open roads.

By all means feel free to rub it in... [much louder sobs]
