Hi everyone,
Just bought my 1st Mazda a couple of weeks ago (65 plate Mazda3 2.2 diesel) and so far i'm very pleased with it. I can't get over how economical it is, i'm getting mid to high 60's on a constant motorway run!
Also i'm very impressed with the performance, better mid range than my remapped Seat Altea 2.0 tdi and i thought that was good.
The Mazda pulls right up the rev range where my Seat run out of puff at 4000 rpm.
Anyway, i'm slowly learning all the bits and bobs of the Mazda, when i took my 1st look at the owner's manual i swiftly put it down, loads of info to get through!! LOL.
I'm picking things up as i go along so i'll be asking a few questions as time goes by if i may.
One thing is puzzling me is that when i have started the engine from cold on the last couple of days it's started to fast idle @ 1500 rpm for about 30 secs.
Up until very recently it idled from cold at 750 rpm which i thought is normal and as i say it's idling twice as fast now (almost like an auto choke on a petrol engine).
I will be most grateful if anyone can shed light on this.
Anyway, i'll be looking forward to having a chat about all things Mazda.
