Recently purchased a 2008 Speed3 inmetrogray mica. This is my first Mazda, and I was hooked after the first test drive. Till that point, I was considering the Subaru WRX as well. The Mazda blew it away.

I wanted a car with 4 doors and plenty of cargo room, but still sporty and fun to drive. The hatchback isperfect for all the stuff I need to haul around, and the 4 doors make it easy for my car-pool partners to get in and out on my weeks to drive.

My car till this purchase was a 1998 Ford Mustang, which I also purchased new back in the day. I still have it, with 130,000+ miles and going strong. I like to keep my vehicles long-term, and am looking forward the a long-lived Speed3.

I'm from Pittsburgh, PA and even though the weather here is not that harsh in the winter, I decided to purchase an extra set of performance winter tires (Dunlop winter sport 3D) for the colder months. All reviews I read said dump the performance summer tires for colder months. I like the stock tire that cam with the vehicle, and will put them back on around April.

I already have my 2 1/2year-old son trained, as he wants to ride in the "Zoom-Zoom" car over our other vehicles.

I'm not one that takes pictures of their cars, sorry. Not sure how to attach a picture here (did it work?). I used a stock photo if that's of interest.
