Relatively New, Well Maintained 2013 Mazda3 with burning smell
I have a 2013 Mazda3 iSport that I bought brand new Sept. 2013 with 8 miles on it and I'm just smelling a strong burning smell that I can't decipher as being from electrical and/or oil burn. I just hit 20k miles today. I use fully synthetic oil and have it changed it every 5 to 6k miles, so I feel like it shouldn't be that. It's officially due for a change as of this morning and it's just now doing it, so it shouldn't be spilled oil either. I first noticed it yesterday morning as the car was warming up and it went away once it got hot...tonight it was warm and still smelled and the smell got stronger and then went away some. This time you could even smell it outside the car, not just through the vents. Taking it in tomorrow, but I wanted to see if anyone has any idea what they should be looking for? Oil hose rubbed and leaking (problem reported prior to skyactiv being in US) or a wiring harness fault due to engine clearance (another problem I've read up on from previous model years)....?
