I'm buying a used 2012 mazda 3 i Sport on Friday!! I'm very excited about this but I'm a little anxious about it too. I have always wanted to buy a car but living in NYC limited me from doing so but I've moved to Queens for a year and noticed that having a car make sense now so here I am, a soon to be Mazda 3 owner!!

I met with the owner on the weekend and the car should be mine in a week. I have a few questions though about the warranty the car original came with. The car has about 34000+ miles on it, the warranty isn't going to be much but I think its better than nothing. The owner had an inspection done on 6/28/13 and they rotated the tires, changed oil and filters on it, checked the tire pressure and alignment of the car. Any idea if I can request the car to be reinspected again by a Mazda dealership since its still covered under the 3yr/36000 miles? I don't really know about cars and this is my first one, so I want to make sure I'm not a getting a car that will die on me in a couple of months. I thought about bringing it to a local technician, which I don't know to have them look over it, but again I will have no idea if they are doing their job. Also, I think the tires are a little worn, so will the tires be covered under warranty that I can ask the owner to have the dealership change them? Also, as a second owner, will the warranty change at all? Will I be able to get extended warranty on it as a second owner or the first owner will have to take care of it because we change the title of the car?

So, I'm a 2012 Mazda 3 owner now

I have a quick question about the extended warranty. I was offered 3yr/36000 bumper to bumper warranty on the car for $2200. The car now has 35000+ miles on it, is it worth it to get the extended warranty? I did a search and found that other people got better offers but they are new mazdas and mine is used.

Any input is appreciated, TIA!
