Talk me into a MS3
Hey all,
New to the boards, but need some input on the MS3. I currently drive a 2005Scion tC. Love the car, but it truely lacks power. As far as options it can't be beat for the price. I have been doing a lot of research on the MS3 and find that it comes with a bundle of great options as long as you get the Grand Touring package and of course you getthe beautiful turbo.
Other then power on the tC I am on the fence with the MS3. So please help me in making a descision.

First....the tC is a Toyota [:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(]and a regular 3s is nicer than the tC (160 hp vs 130 hp)...just my opinion. I've got a 3i, brand new it was $14,900 out the door (Ford Employee pricing)
The Mazdaspeed3 is the biggest bang for the buck. Read any car mag out there right now (Automobile rated it one of the (10) All-stars of 2007 (rated against 273 other cars.) The absolute bottom of the line MS3 would destroy the tC in content and performance for around $23K

Mazdaspeed3 starts at 263 hp, the tC starts at 130 hp....bolt all you want up to that tC (short of turbo/supercharger or nitrous) and you'll still have less power than the MS3 stock.
It's not like comparing apples to oranges, it's like comparing an apple to a steaming turd.

well we all know the ms3 beats the tc in everyway except weight distibution (so ive heard) but the tc is a nice car but only if its manual the autos are the real steaming turd...also the xb, yeah the tc is a 2-door camry but it has its perks, like the fastest FWD at the nopi drag is the tc

RE: Talk me into a MS3
Well I just got back from driving the MS3 and allI can say is wow! This was th sport package, they did not have the Grand Touring available to drive. The response was quick and shifts were very fluid. There was some lag through1st and2nd gear, but once you hit 3rd it really took off. The interior was well laid out and the exhaust note was not too intrusive. OverallI was very happy. I am partof the Ford Partnership program through workand they told me the MS3 is not available through the special pricing. They are selling them at MSRP plus. I think for the money you get a lot of bang for your buck.
Power wise it blows my tC away, even with the mods I have on it. If I could get the special pricing I would buy one today.
Thanks everyone for your input.
