Hi there

My name is David and I'm an alcoholic...

Well, not really, although I do drink more than my wife.

I figured I'd join up a forum or two about Mazdas and see what I learn, since we're picking up our Mazda5 tomorrow evening. I think it'll be a fun car to own, and it was one of few my wife and I could agree on. We are trading our 03 Saturn ION for it because it simply wasn't big enough. It is/was a good car, but we have to buy something with more seats to put child seats in!!

I also have a 1978 Chevrolet Caprice Classic that I drive every day. Just over 60,000 miles on it, so I figure it'll last long enough for us to put the money together for another car, perhaps one of those RX-8s that I'm really begining to like.

Anyway, figured I'd introduce myself. We run a website (HickersonFamily-Dot-Net) and you're welcome to check it out if you're so inclined (or are simply too bored to think of something better to do).

I guess I'll see ya'll around.

I really, really love this thing (the car). Just thought I'd share.

For only having 17 more horsepower than our former ION, and carrying around nearly 500 extra pounds, it seems really quick!

LOL

Mazda has really been making awesome cars the last couple of years

The 5 has some nice lines to it at certain angles and if it handles like the 3 ? ..... that makes it even better

Enjoy , man (and family)

By the looks of it , with their nominal sales up , in all categories , Mazda is eager to bring us more exciting cars and I look forward to it ..... Zoom Zoom all started with the 6 and I'm glad to own part of this nice historical significance , as you are
