The Difference BT the Canadian GT & GS
Hi Guys,
The Sellers tend to say their 2007 Mazda 3 sedan is GT (for higher selling price perhaps), while buyers tend to argue that sellers cars are GS only (so they don't pay extra $ like fools...).
The cars do come with sunroofs (two ways to open), auto functions for lights and wipers etc. Cruise Control. The tire rims only have 1" difference b/t GS and GT. If checking VIN online, the report says their Mazda 3i.
4 speed automatic. The sellers do not have any data that shows their cars are GT. The Mazda official website says that for 2007 Mazda 3, only GT can choose sunroof option (really?), so it seems like the cars might be GT, but there are no 6 CD Changers, which is a standard on GT.
What would you do to determine whether the 2007 Mazda 3 in front of you are GS or GT?
Thanks,
K.

I believe the GT's all have the 2.oL engine while the more expensive GS has the 2.3L, as well as other amenities, such as the rear wing on the HB, LED tails, auto climate and wipers, etc....

HA got you on this one richard. you in fact have it the other way around. I have the GS model which has the 2.0 unlike the GT which has a 2.3. The GT has LED Tails, (if you get the complete GT package it comes with HID's, 17" Snowflakes, Foglights, Upgraded Bumper, Sunroof, Leather, Auto Climate Control, Leather, 6 CD Changer Bose Sound System. For the GS it can come with that but for the most part the most upgraded GS comes with 16" 12 Spoke Rims, Sunroof, All Power Controls, Cloth Interior and the 2.0 Engine. between the two there is about a 3-5K difference in it and for some people (myself Included) there is no point. Hell you could buy the GX model and save even more money and it comes with Alloys, Audio mounted controls, as well as power options. All depends on how much money you plan on spending on the car.

I'm not entirely surprised I got it wrong. In fact I think originally there was only the GX, and GS in Canada. The GT came later for you and for us... again if I'm not mistaken? Those were the two trim levels I believe I was confusing with the GT.

Actually no, since 2004 Mazda has been making the GX GS and the GT which the GX is to your I, the GS to your I Touring and the GT to S and the GT full package is to your S TOURING. Simple mistakes my good friend. I also had to put them there as you had said the I is to your GT lol
