RE: having 11 speeding warnings
haha, good ol' BFE.... that would explain the low insurance for the most part. I'm fightin my ticket so that i dont get any points added to my name, but i will be nice enough to pay the ticket since i did screw up on speeding. We'll see how the judge likes that say in a month.

RE: having 11 speeding warnings
I guess I'm lucky- volcanic red 6 and after almost a year, no tickets. And I drive the **** out of it- but I do know where they hide. Highway is the problem, I keep it to 75 (mostly) with the occaisional sprint to 100. BTW, my first car was a '67 Bel Air coupe w/265 V8. Bought it mint from a older lady w/55K miles for: $550 Of course, this was in 1973 (yup, I'm that old).

Few Tips to Lower Your Auto Insurance Costs
Suggested Tips to Lower Your Auto Insurance Costs
1. Prices vary from company to company, so it pays to shop around. Get at least three price quotes.
2. You buy insurance to protect you financially and provide peace of mind. It's important to pick a company that is financially stable.
3. Don't shop price alone. Ask friends and relatives for their recommendations. Contact your state insurance department to find out whether they provide information on consumer complaints by company.
4. Before you buy a new or used car, check into insurance costs. Car insurance premiums are based in part on the car’s sticker price, the cost to repair it, its overall safety record, and the likelihood of theft.
5. Establishing a solid credit history can cut your insurance costs. Insurers are increasingly using credit information to price auto insurance policies. To protect your credit standing, pay your bills on time, don't obtain more credit than you need and keep your credit balances as low as possible.
6. Companies offer discounts to policyholders who have not had any accidents or moving violations for a number of years. You may also get a discount if you take a defensive driving course. If there is a young driver on the policy who is a good student, has taken a drivers education course or is at a college out of the area without a car, you may also qualify for a lower rate.

thats a great way to save on insurance.... definitely very good info. hah, i went to my hearing the other day and got my speeding violoation dropped down 20 mph hah hah. it pays to be polite to state troopers and judges. only got written up for 5 over the speed limit. and my fine was reduced as well since it was a slower moving violation than before. boy did i get lucky... bet the judge could only think about turkey heh heh.

RE: having 11 speeding warnings
Very interesting. I am on my own insurance policy, have had the same insurance policy with all of my cars. I'd just drop the other car when I would buy a new one. Full coverage, $500 deductible, Nationwide Insurance Agency, got insurance when I was 17...now I'm 22. (Going on 23.) HAD 5 points on my license...now am down to 2. (Speeding in my MR2....81 in a 55.) But, I pay $322 every 6 months for my 6. I think they screwed up somewhere...but they screwed up in my favor...so I'm not saying a word. I have full tort as well!
